The smell of Fall is in the air, but we still have 21 days of summer! So enjoy the nice temps and
get ready for the beautiful fall.
Shortages of IT equipment got worse in August. PCSS, LLC inventory is at an all time low.
Items are trickling in but not in quantity to meet demand. If you need hardware, please call or
email ASAP and we can estimate the delivery time.
Power Protection
Hurricanes, tornados, heavy rain and wind mean power outages. Surges and drops in power are
not the friend of your computer and electronic equipment. You can protect them! The best and
most economical protection is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). This uses a battery and
circuitry to protect your equipment. UPS provide power when the power goes out and also
protects your equipment from surges and dips in the power. If you would like to protect your
equipment give us a call/email and we can help size out the proper UPS to keep your computers
and electronics safe!
How to destroy a PC – Mr. Technology style:
So Nick wiped out his PC in August. How could that happen? Wearing his glasses and not
paying attention he plugged his headphones in the front USB slot instead of the headphone port.
Boom! The sad end of our HP desktop in the office. Moral of this story: Be careful when
plugging anything into a computer. Pay attention to where you are plugging equipment in.
Better yet, don’t plug in peripherals with the PC powered up.
